Charity Fundraiser

A percentage of all proceeds will be donated to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Adaptive Sports Program. The National Veterans Sports Programs and Special Events (NVSP&SE) office provides opportunities for health and healing through adaptive sports, recreation therapy and therapeutic art programs.

These recreational therapy programs motivate Veterans to a lifetime of health by providing effective and relevant programs. In turn, Veterans reach their full potential, improve independence and enjoy a higher quality of life. One assistant max per competitor is permitted.


Entry Fees & Deadlines

If entry is received by October 1st: Entry $89. Entry fee for each additional class $55. After October 1st an additional late entry fee of $55 applies. October 17th is the last day entries will be accepted.

DEBUT ELIGIBILITY: First competition ever. Competitors cannot have ever competed in any category with any organization.NOVICE ELIGIBILITY: Cannot have placed first in any class (besides Teen), within any division, within any category, with any organization (with the exception of cases where first place was won in a class that only had one competitor in it).


Classes

When more than one class in a division, classes are formed by dividing competitors evenly by height.


Crossover Entries

A crossover entry is entering more than one division within a category. For example, someone may enter the Novice division, if eligible, and also elect to crossover into the Open division and compete in it as well. Competitors may not participate in more than one category (Bikini, Figure, Physique, Bodybuilding, Classic Physique) at any given show.


Awards

There will be awards for the top 5 in each class, and Best Presentation awards for men & women. All pro-qualifying placement winners will receive OCB champion rings. All contestants will receive medals.rnTrainer awards will also be given.


Eligibility

All competitors are required to hold current OCB memberships to participate in this event. If needing to obtain the annual membership, please register by a week before the event. Memberships can be purchased on OCBonline.com.

This is a natural (drug-free) competition. All competitors must meet eligibility criteria listed in the OCB drug testing guidelines in order to participate. Prior to registering competitors should review the procedures and list of banned substances posted on OCBonline.com.


Banned Substances Screening Methods

All competitors are required to be polygraph tested prior to competing. In addition, all pro qualifying placement winners are required to provide a urine specimen immediately after the conclusion of the event for urinalysis testing.


Competitor Check-Ins/Polygraph Screenings

Check-ins will be Friday October 19th 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the host hotel, Holiday Inn, 4468 Starkey Rd, Roanoke, VA.

Polygraph tests will by appointment from 11am to 7pm at the host hotel, To schedule and appointment visit: https://screeningschedule.setmore.com/. The polygraph fee is $50 and is payable in cash only at the time of testing. Exact change would be appreciated. Polygraph test results are valid for other amateur OCB shows that are held within 6 weeks. View the upcoming schedule of events.


Competitor Meeting

There will be a short competitor meeting the day of the event at 10:30am in the conference room at the host hotel/contest venue. Note to contestants - please be covered when in the show seating area. Pro-tan cannot be used inside the building.


Music

Men’s Bodybuilding, Men’s Classic Physique and Women’s Physique can use their own music (60 seconds) for their individual presentations (routines/stage walks), or may choose house music instead. Please email music files (mp3 or m4a) to Mark Williams at ernest.williams1@gmail.com. All other competitors will have house music selections for their individual routines.


Host Hotel

Holiday Inn Roanoke-Tanglewood, 4468 Starkey Rd, Roanoke, VA. Reservations can be made ONLINE or by calling 540-774-4400 and mentioning group code "OCB Bodybuilding" for a nightly rate of $109.


Backstage Policy

One assistant max per competitor is allowed backstage. The assistant MUST buy a trainer/assistant ticket, which is good for general admission and back stage access.


Competitor Prep Area

Light weights, bands and mirrors will be backstage for use in preparing to go on stage. Competitors are welcome to bring their own equipment and mirrors as well.


Stage Photography Coverage

Information on ordering will be available at check-ins.


Video Recording Policy

Competitors and friends/family are welcome to bring recording devices.
